In 1958, the Union of Saskatchewan Indians merged with the Queen Victoria Protective Association to form the Federation of Saskatchewan Indians. Later renamed the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations, it is one of the oldest First Nation political organizations in Canada.

The Provincial Aboriginal Representative Workforce Council was formally established in February 2000 to develop strategies for delivering training linked to partnership employer job opportunities. PARWC is co-chaired by Saskatchewan First Nations and Métis Relations.

View information, reports and summaries from conferences held by the Provincial Aboriginal Representative Workforce Council to explore ways to enhance Aboriginal employment.

In September, 2004, the Provincial Representative Workforce Council teamed with Saskatchewan Job Futures to launch 10 Aboriginal role model posters.
