Did You Know? The Métis first flew their flag of infinity during the Battle of Seven Oaks, on June 19, 1816. Economic Development First Nations and Métis Relations works to increase and promote Aboriginal participation in the province's economy. In partnership with two of Saskatchewan's major Aboriginal funding institutions, the Ministry's First Nations and Métis Economic Development Program provides grant funding for economic development initiatives to First Nations, Métis and Inuit individuals as well as legal entities associated with Indian Bands, Tribal Councils, Métis organizations and communities.
