Did You Know? In 1976, the Saskatchewan Indian Federated College (SIFC) was established with eight students. The Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies was established the same year. Northern Business Service Centre Financial ResourcesEvery business needs resources and funding. Perhaps the partners can contribute what's needed, or commercial lenders such as banks and credit unions can assist. Sometimes, other support programs can provide the right boost. Northern Affairs may be able to help through the Northern Development Fund: the Loan Program, which provides loans to primary producers; and the Grant Program which provides grants for marketing, research, business skills training, and youth entrepreneurship. Northern Affairs has also established a directory of other programs and services that may help northern business managers find the program that's just right for their situation.
