Programs Aboriginal Urban Management Authorities ProgramThe Aboriginal Urban Management Authorities Program promotes Aboriginal community development, enabling First Nations and Métis people to develop their own service delivery systems in urban settings. The Program provides financial assistance to facilitate the development of Aboriginal service delivery institutions at the community level, which deliver culturally appropriate, rationalized and accountable services. Systems developed can be First Nations-specific, Métis-specific, or a cooperative arrangement where First Nations and Métis people form a joint partnership, each responsible for decisions affecting services to their own constituency.
